        Answered my own question: I'd run signal-event post-upgrade earlier;
that seems to regenerate the key and cert. Sorry for the false alarm.
However, it seems that the conf-mod_ssl script should check for the
existence of these files before overwriting them.

        I've mentioned this before, but it really seems like it'd be a good
idea to include some sort of certificate management in the e-smith
manager. I've started thinking through how to do it, but if I build it,
it'll be in PHP--not that I know that much PHP, but I know more PHP than
Perl. Is there any inherent reason that e-smith-manager panels can't be
done in PHP?
