OK, I give... WHY?

When an ibay is used for storing the program and templates-custom
is used for everything else, the entire application is recoverable via the
e-smith tape restore feature. If an ibay is not used, then a manual rpm
reinstall and tape restore is required.

For instance by placing TWIG in an ibay, it is immediately recovered via
an e-smith restore. I had posted a previous question about the TWIG mySQL
database but I 'believe' this to be recovered as well during a standard
restore. Unfortunately no one from e-smith has confirmed as yet :-(

My next chance I get I'll blow everything away and do a restore to confirm
myself.

Same for INN. Use an ibay for the program and newsgroups and the program
and local newsgroups would be recovered via an e-smith restore. The local
newsgroups would be as vital as e-mail so it is very important to recover
the local newsgroup posts.

The only 'issues' I see is that you have to address proper security both
for the ibay and httpd.conf to restrict access as appropriate. But this
is simply implemented via templates-custom and chown/chmod commands on
ibay.

What am I missing?
