Can I suggest a

            {
            if ($1 ne "sl0")
                {
                push(@dispRed,$1);
                }
            }
        }


as well as the commented lines below, to get rid of sl0

Also, what about "Normal", "Heavy", "Warning" on the line regarding area
graphs?
