[As I've said before, "Mitel" doesn't lurk here, and those of us who are
employed by Mitel (in general) cannot and do not speak for Mitel.]

I think it would be better if the RPM were not renamed. There will be no
confusion if the RPM does not change name. Please distinguish the release
number - perhaps by using a dmc suffix.

By issuing a new RPM with a different name you essentially create a
project fork. I'm sure that that is not your intention.

It's conventional to send patches back to the author. In this case that
would be Jay Miller. I'm sure that he'll be happy to receive them.
