please reread my original post. I mentioned "legal issues" as an "old
reason". All this has been discussed ad infinitum in the older threads.
I wanted to add only ONE new point to the list of pros and cons: In the
old days, when we were discussing the bookmarks issue, these freesites
were actually *inserted* and *retrievable*. Daily! Imagine!
Now the tower is dead, Cofe wrote he doesn't care if his sites are retrievable
or not and YoYo is inserted only every second or third day, is it?
The newbies (and not only they) judge the Freenet performance by the
number of broken images on their Web Interface. And that is bad. ("Only
2 of 5 images... Freenet sucks!" or "Yippee! 4 images! Freenet has improved.")
BTW, I suspect that Ian is looking forward to getting some trouble because
of that bookmark issue, because it would create a big publicity and that
means more users => more donations => more money => more toad(s) => more
Freenet. :))
jnk
PS: I wish we had a wiki again... The list of pros and cons wrt to the
bookmark issue are better to have them there.
