I think the only limitation should be that we do not accept funds from someone
who does publicly known criminal or pseudo-criminal activities, because that
will attract lawsuits.
Anyone else, including governments, all sorts of companies, etc. should be
okay.

Reasons for that:
- - While we don't run out of money frequently, our funding is still very
little, so we aren't even in the position to say "no we don't want your
money". We NEED more so we can finally hire more full time developers!

- - If someone wanted to hide security issues in Freenet, it would be a lot
easier to just pay someone to pretend being a volunteer and commit bugged
code. The payment then would be going by 100% into the attack. Donating to FPI
would allow us to spend the money on other stuff, and therefore is a less
useful attack.

- - Code is a rather objective kind of thing, and therefore it would be rather
difficult to bias code towards the interest of someone without making it pretty
obvious.

- - We still can insist on the privilege to decide what to do with the money.

- - Government funding can be HUGE amounts compared to what we need. I've
recently talked to someone about this who is into politics. He said that the
"around $100k" region which is much for is is something which the German
government could do without a lot of hassle. Governments have HUGE budget
after all because they are so inefficient with their money spending :)
