MojoNation I think solves the micropayment problem very well. Any and all
communication between two parties involves an exchange of credits. So in
the Freenet model, each message would request a handshake in which virtual
currency was passed one way or another.

I don't see any reason to reinvent things. A Freenet <-> MojoNation
gateway would be fine. MojoNation does micropayments, Freenet does
anonymity and efficient data caching and replication as well as
aggregating individual nodes into single collective entities.
