I think you're a better programmer than you are a diplomat.

Look, I'm not trying to tread on anyone's toes here. I'm not trying to
interfere in the development of freenet. I am trying to develop a music
sharing system to keep the Napster-loving hordes away from freenet until
it's ready for them. I thought this was something the core developers
wanted. Maybe I should have asked these questions first:

1) Is a music-only client worth pursuing, given that it may take developer
time away from freenet proper?

2) Is it still worth pursuing if it requires the development of a music-only
node / protocol?

Core developers: please let me know by Monday whether you want me to proceed
with this project. I'm not interested in forking freenet, I don't even share
MP3s, so I won't pursue it unless you think it will benefit freenet.

In the meantime I'll read everything on the website and try to patch some of
the holes in my swiss ch^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hproposal.
