Yeah right.
Shareware software authors just *love* lurching to their keyboards and
rushing to implement features upon request.
My narc-iness is not directed at you Ian, but is based on my experience with
shareware authors. Even with the most diplomatic approaches, I've found them
all (except for some of the small independents) to be an arrogant lot, with
serious attitude problems.

Another problem would be the fact that modifications to honour '//' in URLs
would be to Freenet's advantage.
Asking shareware authors to implement such mods is like asking cocaine
dealers to help install surveillance equipment and train sniffer dogs. ;\

This makes sense.

The advantage of Freenet (still) being small is that the content-provider
and client writer base should be able to adapt quickly.
