It's pointless to argue about licenses here. The GPL is not optimal
because it censors people from releasing only compiled code on modified
versions, but the BSD license is not optimal either since it doesn't
take the opportunity to stop people from claiming censorship rights over
modified versions. There is no truly free license around AFAIK ("This
data may be modified and distributed in any form, under the condition
these rights are not reverted from the modified version or copy").
By "dumb" above I meant GPL incompatible.
