Now that, after some research, it seems that a FEC download from Freenet averages at over 20k/sec, far more than the 8k/sec needed for a 64kbit ogg - which is about FM radio quality.
Given this, isn't it time someone started to think about this again (and PLEASE - consider doing it in Java - one VM per application is enough for anyone to be asked to download!).
