I think you guys should discuss this on the wiki, because it's more permanent than this mailing list (where stuff gets pushed down), and you have something that you can actually make progress on (ie. the article page) rather than endlessly talking.
Also, dieppe, don't wait too long for approval or discussion from other people. I don't think there is anyone else thinking about Freenet UI right now. If you can come up with something on your own, that's better than no activity at all. :) X
