Hi,

Go at http://www.gnome.org/start and click on "Building GNOME on
Solaris systems". You will find an extensive explanation on how to build
gnome on Solaris ( I use Solaris 7 and it works on it) and a short note
on how to compile every GNOME libraries ( lots of hints ), I found that
very useful for compiling dia.
