is this all it takes? i mean, after switching to final-by-default, going through anybodies codebase and blindly adding virtual at the very beginning of each class definition reestablishes to 100% old behavior? a regex s&r can probably do this. or a tiny tool. this is a step everyone can readily subscribe to. if it is that easy i don't see any grounds for a too-breaking-change argument. /det
