Whatever their motivation they have made that official
statement so to stand by and ignore the ARRL placing
their CW broadcasts on a higher level of spectrum
priority than the FCC value + violating the voluntary
bandplan and QRMing ongoing QSO's in the process earns
the term "absurd".

An absence of consistency will inevitably lead to
CB-like anarchy as "everyone does as he or she sees
as best".
