I have in the past used LogMeIn and Skype to remotely control my home station while running RTTY, PSK, and CW.
Recently, a new free remote access service has become available: https://www.crossloop.com/landing.htm . This service installs a client on each participating PC, and uses the web to mediate access. Its performed well in basic tests, but I've not tried remote control with it. I'm considering its use as a support tool for DXLab. A remote control technique that I've not often heard mentioned is to place a webcam in your home station and focus it on your transceiver. This lets you monitor transceiver, amplifier, rotator,a nd power supply readouts that might not be available via your station control software.
