Unluckily i have to say that this comparison is quite flawed... using easypal which needs minimum 6db SNR in the lowest setting in conditions of less than 4db snr (1/6 throghput you say) is not a good idea. Comparing that to a mode which can adapt to lower snr's is BS at best.
Your invited to repeat the test after having learned how to use easypal, and use it in suitable conditions. There are lots of experienced d-sstvers to get help from.
