Hi, I have applied your patch to my copy of DirectFB 1.2.7 (it applies cleanly there) and compared the results of df_dok before and after. For most operations the results are pretty much the same, but the performance of "Blit" improved significantly:
Blit 3.000 secs ( 24.029 MPixel/sec) Blit 3.023 secs ( 34.686 MPixel/sec) This test was done on a PXA 300 using the generic software rasterizer: Processor : XScale-V3 based processor rev 1 (v5l) BogoMIPS : 622.59 Features : swp half fastmult edsp iwmmxt CPU implementer : 0x69 CPU architecture: 5TE CPU variant : 0x0 CPU part : 0x688 CPU revision : 1 Hardware : CM-X300 module Note that I haven't checked the results for correctness.
