So as far as I can see, I've NO patches to apply, as I'm interested
mainly in VDR and I read that the fusion module can cause problems.
please correct me if I'm wrong.

Currently I have DVB-T streaming to Mplayer using -vo dfbmga and I
have to say I'm completely amazed at how good it looks! I've noticed
that I can see interlacing lines, one of the main selling points for
DirectFB was that I could sync the graphics card to the TV - is the
VSync patch now part of the kernel?

I searched /usr/include/linux/fb.h for "FBIO_WAITFORSYNC" as there's
nothing there should I add the line, and where in the file should it
go?

I wish I could offer something in return for all your hard work - my
programming skills are non existent though...
