Andy, How interesting! It certainly does make a difference. > I didn't know this until I tested it on a hunch and then looked to see if > I could find the documentation for it. The distinction is noted in the > dirvish.conf manpage: "Options whose names with an initial capital (ex: > Foo) are discarded by dirvish itself but may be used by support > utilities." I read that in the man page while developing the configuration file but did not recognize its meaning. While I now see its importance, I remain ignorant of why Runall is "discarded by dirvish itselt" and what support utility is using it. Unless the above quote means that dirvish-runall is a support utility and it's not dirvish itself which is running. So, I'm still confused. As I run the script now I see a line (after putting the quoted double lines on the same line as the preceeding echo command): a-tmp:default post-server failed (1) so I will look in that vault's log and see if I can find anything. I may be back with additional questions. Many thanks, Rich _______________________________________________ Dirvish mailing list [email protected] http://www.dirvish.org/mailman/listinfo/dirvish
