Call me a cynic but...
If fax machines are 'luddite nonsense', one assumes you don't bother with
phones either.
Out of an inability/unwillingness to use fax machines, you operate at a cost
level 350% higher than neccessary. I guess that seems smart, and cutting edge
in someones mind.
If it's such an issue, go install <insert random net-to-fax software>.
If I were to submit my details for a card, with normal transactions totalling
a couple of thousand dollars a pop, OpenSRS would have to commit many
resources into securing the payment system.
I don't want them to divert resources to something that is not an issue except
for the kool domain doods, I'd much rather see the time spent on securing the
domain from theft, as discussed in an earlier thread.
OpenSRS have made it clear that securing payments is not their line of
business, if it were, the client code would encrypt the emails sent from the
system.
Hmm, possibly a tad flambe, but I'm not meant to be in work today... :)
