Transferring buys an additional year on your registration...based on the
original expiration date, *NOT* based on the date you do the transfer.  So
you do indeed get two years for $11 if you do it this way...

The problem is there is really no gain to registering the domain then
transferring it to opensrs if you are going to do it after 60 days.
Basically
it only buys you 60 days then you still pay the $10 opensrs fee.

Buuuut the problem occurs if:
1. they do not allow you transfer the domain. In that case you start paying
regular rates the next year
2. You successfuly "transfer" the domain over, then they find out and go
after
you legally ... that is if they have small print catches.

Overall, IMHO, there seems to be no gain ;(
