FYI, I did finally get that certificate that I ordered about 2 weeks
ago from Entrust. I am still not sure what caused the delay, but I
assume it was the extra steps involved with the customer contact that
entrust takes, since they never asked for any additional data from us.
The certificate installed fine, and does require a chained cert, signed
by thawte to operate correctly. If you are used to using verisign
certificates, this extra step (installing the chained certificate "CA
cert") only has to be done once.
The chained cert and the web cert are both on the webpage URL that is
sent via email to the tech contact when the cert is issued.
They also have a nice "secure seal" - "click to verify" program, as
does Verisign. (the one thing that equifax lacks)
