I suggest that this conversation be taken offlist if you plan on discussing
and/or pushing the development of a competing registrar.

Bitching about price is one thing (though I do not agree that OpenSRS is
'overcharging'). However, I feel that you really need a slap upside the head
(maybe with a cement block?) if you think the gibberish above is appropriate
for this list.

I know I'm tiring of your nonsense posts and beating this thread to absolute
death. I'm sure many others feel the same. If the OpenSRS marketing gurus
wish to lower prices, that's great (another promotion maybe? <hint> <hint>
:). If not, oh well - nothing lost. I'm not going to sit here and waste my
time whining about it and I'm especially not going to make selfish
statements like "Let's all get together and create a registrar to compete
with Tucows!" on their own list (not to mention you'd already be quite late
to the ball game).

I signed up with OpenSRS knowing that I'd be charged $10 per domain year for
com/net/org registrations and I also knew that there were less expensive
options available. Promotional/reduced registration pricing by OpenSRS is a
bonus, not a requirement. I don't see any subsection in the contract I
signed with OpenSRS that gives me the right to reduced registration fees
"because everyone else charges less".

I request that OpenSRS staff put a lid on this thread if it keeps heading in
the direction it's currently going.
