Good points! More importantly, WE have resellers for whom we have prepared a completely customized interface - hence there are domains registered through us but it is actually a second level affiliate deal
it would be super if we have the capability to either turn off or modify Whois reseller output if the domain has Affiliate ID - that would make Our Affiliates very happy and reduce the possibility of loosing the volume account Just like we modify confirmation emails on domains registered through affiliate - perhaps the same area could contain whois output modification cheers Genie eyeondomain.com > ** Original Subject: RE: Reseller WHOIS information > ** Original Sender: Leonid Igolnik <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > ** Original Date: Wed, 23 Jan 2002 10:34:51 -0800 > ** Original Message follows... > > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA1 > > I a mean time your customer can disable this on all his domains using > manage interface. > > Leonid > On Wed, 23 Jan 2002, Charles Daminato wrote: > > > The fix for this is going in in about 1.5 weeks; it's done, just needs QA > > and promotion (with some other goodies, which will be announced shortly). > > > > Charles Daminato > > OpenSRS Product Manager > > Tucows Inc. - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > > > -----Original Message----- > > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Jose Luis Moya > > > Sent: January 23, 2002 11:05 AM > > > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > > Subject: Reseller WHOIS information > > > > > > > > > I now have a customer stating that he we'll transfer all his domains if we > > > do not remove our email address and other details from the WHOIS output. > > > > > > I try to recall that making ALL the fields optional in the WHOIS > > > record was > > > going to happen sometime ago, since if we can make the hole thing > > > optionally > > > appear, why should we not make "some" information appear and not other. > > > > > > If this is not the case I suppose I'll just have to deactivated completely > > > since I do not want some of my customers to quit me for this reason. > > > > > > Thanks. > > > > > > > > > > > > Jose Luis Moya > > > nombremania.com > > > Spain > > > > > > > - -- > > Leonid Igolnik. > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- > Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) > Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org > > iD8DBQE8Tv9QRrKFtN3cJpMRArrrAJ4sn9fYglVH5pA+nGM5T+rNotkGVQCeOR/1 > p5NveTAWGkZ+wMERgM9b5rE= > =iLtd > -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- > > >** --------- End Original Message ----------- ** > cheers Genie Livingstone Magi Inc 511 G 5th Street San Fernando, CA 91340 818 365 0664 http://www.buildyoursiteonline.com http://www.eyeondomain.com http://www.magiinc.com
