I'd be interested in hearing them -- because of the things I truly do every day -- register and renew -- the RWI has been for me one of the very best, simplest and most consistent interfaces I ever use.
Best? I can't agree. Simple, without a doubt... Consistent, okay - consistently annoying. :)
The major issue is space management. I know the problem with changing anything is that it'll break people's hacks (boo hoo) but I never suggested scrapping it - just start from scratch - leave that thing there for those folks and put the new one at another URL. This time warn folks and *mean it* that it can't be counted on for scripting. (I made this suggestion a long time ago but can't remember what the excuse not to was.)
(Now the cert interface, that's another complex and confusing story...)
Whew, no kidding - this one is almost as bad as one of mine. I can crank out some truly torturous UIs, not purposefully but it does seem I'm rather good at creating things that only I can (usually) understand.
