These are good questions; I was wondering myself. For the benefit of Tucows marketeers: I operate my own server where I run my own mail system entirely. I might have an interest in considering these Tucows email services, but never until/unless they were offered on a per-gigabyte (or per-domain) basis. The notion of having to configure and pay "per user account", if that's what's implied, is absurd enough to make it not worth my while. For example, I offer an arbitrary (within reason) number of mailboxes to my web hosting clients. This makes it a more attractive product for my users, with little to no extra administrative overhead. If they want a new mailbox, I add it in. It costs me no more to operate, other than the couple of seconds required to make the change. Whether a user is sending 12 GB of attachments to one mailbox or 2 GB to six, my costs are the same. There is thus even less incentive to hand this over to Tucows (forcing a change of my billing model in order to maintain revenues). Just a thought. -ben -- Ben Kennedy, chief magician zygoat creative technical services 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 http://www.zygoat.ca
