it looks like there is (just going through the forum web site) - it's an additional module called "Email All Posts" which i'm sure could be added without a problem... the software by default I think only allows you to subscribe to new emails within an existing thread - which you'd only find out about by logging in! > And then if folks want to REPLY (or POST), they'd have to do so only > via the web-based forum, or via NNTP? apparently (again from the phorum forums) there is a script available called phorummail will allows people to email in their posts - unforunately, I don't think it works with Phorum 5.. but it is no doubt only a matter of time before it does... to throw in my opinion on all this, i'm not in favour of the switch to just the forum... I think if there is going to be a switch to a forum, then it is better to have them both in operation until the phorum software can manage to receive and post email - when that occurs, there won't be much of a problem... until then, I think i'll be joining the group that will probably forget to look at the forum...
