It is just so damn depressing to read emails on this list in which
people are encouraging the use of proprietary works instead of free
cultural works.

I wish that there was a group of people I could turn to that wanted to
promote a sense of solidarity in supporting free culture. I wish I could
look toward a group of people that said to themselves, "hey, sure, I
know maybe we all haven't found a way to have a world in which we use
free cultural works throughout our day to day life, but, I think it
would be cool to keep our focus in this group to that of encouraging and
promoting free cultural works wherever and whenever we can, even if that
is sometimes less convenient than simply using and promoting proprietary
works."

Using free software to communicate instead of proprietary software isn't
even some radical or extremely difficult thing to do. Sure, it's not
always as easy and simple as using proprietary system to do it, and
maybe some people will have to work together to help others be able to
participate.

So, where else do I go? If I can't go to the primary discussion mailing
list for the free culture foundation to find people dedicated and
committed to the promotion of free cultural works, then where?

I don't even feel frustrated or angry anymore ... simply defeated.
