@bander: Thanks for the feedback. 3 seconds is an interesting value because that's exactly how long the server sleeps in wait.php. @moe: Thanks for the update. That's a bummer about alpha trans on FF/Linux. I think your solution is a good one and I'll add that in. There's already a hack to handle Opera 8 which doesn't support opacity at all. Is FF/Linux the only browser/platform with performance issues using alpha trans? Anyone having problems on any other platform?
