Thanks Garrett et al for the feedback! I should have mentioned that
GUI is not a requirement, although the ability to have a least a console
login on the err, console of the Ultra 20 in the event the network
becomes a notwork for some reason.
Apart from the core OS, the server software I intend to use are the
latest versions of Bind, Sendmail, Dovecot, and *possibly* ISC dhcpd.
Provided I can compile and/or get pre-built packages for those, I'll
be happy!
I'll spin up a couple of VirtualBox VMs and give OmniOS (and probably
SmartOS) a try.

Understood, and not a problem--provided I can zfs import my data
pool, that is! :-)
