Ultimately if the driver doesn't support this device (which may just be a 
whitelist in the driver or it may have a totally different programming model) 
you won't be able to fix this without modifying the driver itself.  This is a 
fairly technical task and probably not one I would recommend attempting unless 
you are very comfortable working with C and low level systems programming. 

If you fall into the category of people where you think you want to do this let 
me know.  

The first thing you should do is review code from another operating system that 
supports this device to understand the scope of change needed.
