I built a cable which lets me switch SSD on the fly to a broken one, and can regularly hang Solaris 10.
IllumOS kernel has been considerably better, often saved by the watchdog timeout reset thing. But one instance where I did manage to hang IllumOS the last log entries were: genunix: WARNING /pci@0,0/pci8086,340c@5/pci15d9,400@0 (mpt_sas0): Timeout of 60 seconds expired with 1 commands on target 16 lun 0. genunix: WARNING /pci@0,0/pci8086,340c@5/pci15d9,400@0 (mpt_sas0): Timeout of 60 seconds expired with 1 commands on target 16 lun 0. genunix: WARNING /pci@0,0/pci8086,340c@5/pci15d9,400@0 (mpt_sas0): mptsas_check_task_mgt: Task 0x3 failed. IOCStatus=0x4b IOCLogInfo=0x0 target=16 genunix: WARNING /pci@0,0/pci8086,340c@5/pci15d9,400@0 (mpt_sas0): mptsas_ioc_task_management failed try to reset ioc to recovery! and that was the end of that. ------------------------------------------- illumos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/182180/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/182180/21175430-2e6923be Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=21175430&id_secret=21175430-6a77cda4 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
