I see, we use text-install, so maybe this is the issue. Why did it work just once? So, what options may I use to let libdiskmgmt work on it? Nor virtio nor ide worked, just once, can't say why :( Also: i've seen a webrev closed 100% to support virtio kvm in kernel distro directly, on july 2015. Does it mean I can merge the bits and have a new iso to setup with virtio included on the live cd? It would be great to have both net and disk virtio working off of the kernel live. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Da: Dan McDonald [email protected] Dan McDonald Data: 22 settembre 2015 16.32.48 CEST Oggetto: Re: [discuss] illumos hosting offerings On Sep 22, 2015, at 10:26 AM, Peter Tribble wrote: I've only successfully installed in IDE mode, the virtio mode seems to upset the live boot. But my experience with Bytemark is that apart from that it just worked. libdiskmgmt doesn't like blkdev devices, and IIRC, all/most of the live boots depend on libdiskmgmt. I know the caiman child we use for OmniOS has this issue, e.g. Dan
