Other than fixing the blkdev (that Garret is arguing was already fixed...), 
that I may consider later,
what other options do I have to let it run now? Would using sata help? Any 
other disk controller emulation?
Also, why this does not happen on vmware or virtualbox at install time (no 
guest software yet)?

That was for vioif -- the virtio networking device.  I'm talking disks, 
specifically blkdev disks (which include vioblk, but also include real media 
like NVMe, among others).
