They found that leaving the machine running from 15mins to 2hrs may lead to the installer to start at some point. Then they installed one, and delivered the installed disk to my VM, so I could boot and see. What happens is the same: it starts grub, then you get the kernel banner, and nothing more. I tried running boot with -v , found myslef with the black screen after some minutes, showing a dump of the registers, ending with the size of the memory, nothing more after... Any idea where I can find the issue? What may be hanging the VM? Looks like it's actually just "thinking" for a lot of time, but you can't know how much time...
