Thanks to all who have provided their thoughts on this thread. Feel free to continue providing input here or privately, particularly as we continue to build out our agenda. We will share back our discussion at the conference as well as online.
>From the original email: On Wednesday, February 3, the IxDA Board of Directors will be holding a day-long retreat prior to Interaction10 in Savannah. We will also be holding a discussion on Friday afternoon called "The Future of IxDA is You." For both of these events, it will be a time for us to reflect on several things, such as: How have the past six months have gone for the community? How well are our platforms supporting the community (be it ixda.org, IxDA LinkedIn group, local groups, conferences)? Are we appropriately supporting the mission <http://www.ixda.org/> that IxDA has put forth? Have we followed the strategies and completed the tasks we put forth to continue meeting the mission? Where do we want to be a year from now? Five years from now? As a volunteer-supported organization, we rely heavily on the community to achieve what we set forth. In order to do this well, we need to be more transparent in our work, we need to be sure we are achieving what the community needs, and we need more support. To that end, I invite you to voice comments, questions, concerns, and opportunities you think the IxDA Board of Directors should be considering at our retreat and discussion, either publicly here or privately to board (at) ixda.org.
