Oh - well - I never touch the output before it finishes drying.  Which is only 
a few seconds.  Here, I'll give it a try...   ;-)  I just printed this email, 
and stuck my fingers inside the printer to attempt smudging the ink at a 
completely unreasonable time.  I licked my fingers on one hand, and used dry 
fingers on the other hand, rubbed the ink before the rollers had even released 
it, and now I have a disgusting wrinkly paper with my spit and fingerprints on 
it, but no smudging.

And like I said in the other email...  Left paper in the rain by accident.  No 
smudging or blurring or anything.  Just wrinkling.

For what it's worth, I use the Canon brand ink and generic (target up&up) paper.
