I'd forgotten about it handling non-markdown.  Frankly, the GitHub wiki
works well enough for me and only the lack of directories has bothered
_me_, but it's not about what I like.  I suspect the problems are
cultural ones, around edit access rights controls, URLs which are
concise, and integration.

We use GitHub already, to the point of ensuring that everyone has
two-factor auth turned on and access is mostly seamless.

I think this highlights that I've failed to establish a clear set of
requirements from those for who GitHub is not acceptable, only the
requirements I have, which is a failing on my part.  I'll try to remedy
this.
