I agree with Philip, and while my initial gut reaction was to complain
about spam and immediately opt-out, it does (or at least it *can*) benefit
LOPSA to be able to show that a large percentage of the membership are
opted in to receive these messages from sponsors.

Frankly, while I do hate spam myself, and yes I would qualify the message
as UCE, I think if there's any organization out there that I could trust a
bit more to 1) limit the number of emails to be reasonable and 2) make sure
that the content is at least moderately relevant to my membership, it would
be LOPSA.

So I think I'm ok with this.
