My payment failed again, even though my card details are all correct.
I've given up bothering, and so for the first time since probably about
'09, I'm not a LOPSA member.
I'm strongly in favour of a professional organisation, I'm just not
convinced LOPSA even knows where it's going, let alone making progress
towards it. I'm not sure if the org is just tied up in policies and
procedures, inertia or quite what. Every year the same promises from
the board candidates. Every year nothing obvious seems to happen
towards them. I have to believe it's something external to the
candidates themselves. No one volunteers for anything with the
expectation of failure.
If the payment had gone through automatically, I probably wouldn't have
gone out of my way to cancel, but when it told me it had failed, I found
I had zero inclination to figure out why.
