The membership e-mail said elections opened on June 19, but I didn't receive that e-mail (nor was it sent, based on headers) until June 23... Not exactly what I'd call "timely".
(FWIW, I thought we were also supposed to get membership renewal reminder e-mails, too. But once again I find myself a week from my membership expiring and have received no reminder e-mail. My point being that membership e-mail notifications seem to be a continual weak point for LOPSA.
