I just stumbled over the prosal in Area 51, and thought to icymi-post it to the list.
My two cents (disclaimer, I’m a moderator, since area 51 and beta, of the network engineering stack)… Yes, it’s probably an overlap to some extent. SE policy has is “don’t cleave topical material out of one stack, to make another stack.” We worked really hard to establish NetEng, and we’ve had to “that’s off-topic” a lot of things that really could be handled on NetEng, to tow the SE line. Meanwhile, the huge stacks like SF are just too busy to use at all. So these tight little topics never get any air or life. -- Craig Constantine, http://constantine.name On Apr 25, 2016, at 9:58 AM, Peter Grace <[email protected]> wrote: Disclaimer: I work at stack but I am not speaking as an employee of stack. I do have moderator on Server Fault, however I don't participate much. Forgive me for asking perhaps a loaded question, but isn't devops already in-scope for stackoverflow.com and serverfault.com?
