Mark,

I should be able to get all of that information at the next meeting without
any problems. For improving "push" information disclosure, I believe at one
point Mak had set up a financial mailing list for me, but I haven't put it
to much use. I'll dust that off this weekend and use it to provide monthly
reports. I'll stick to the standard balance, income, and cash-flow reports
in addition to membership information. We'll restrict access to the list to
members.

I apologize if I gave the impression that the handouts last night should
have been destroyed. I didn't mean that the papers literally couldn't leave
the room, just that the information shouldn't leave the people in the room
(or the membership for that matter).

That said:
"I also have enthusiasm for putting out a version 0.1 release even if it's
wrong and causes a panic -- for me that's the path to soliciting better
information to reach version 1.
To me at least this is a hacker style." - Mark Jenkins

I'm not a big fan of panic in the morning. I'm not paid to take panicked
emails and messages from well meaning, but misled, individuals. In fact,
I'm not paid at all. I do this because on the whole, you're all amazing
people. I've learned to accept that 70% of what I do is damage control, and
that's okay - it's only natural with a crowd this size.

However, intentionally causing panic to solicit better information from me?
This can be construed as wildly disrespectful to my time. I like my time. I
like my time a lot. Hell, my favourite song is even Pink Floyd's "Time".
You don't strike me as a disrespectful person so I'm sure it wasn't
intentional, but in the future, the best way to solicit information from me
is to actually solicit information from me. If I fail to deliver, then feel
free to go all hacker on my ass. I'd just like to know I deserve it first :)
