I think we should record and play back each meeting. The playback will
also include the previous meeting, meaning each meeting is an hour
longer than the past. Soon, we'll have nothing but meetings! And
then.... erm, profit?

Seriously though, it does make sense in some organizations.
Traditionally, we've been anything but formal in our meetings, and I've
always resisted attempts to formalize them more (talking stick, some
jerk's rules of order, I even stopped posting an agenda because I liked
the dynamicness we got from not having one better).

That being said, I feel like it would be worthwhile to try it for a few
meetings, and see how it goes. I get nothing but eye rolling for
spending 30 seconds on getting people to introduce themselves, I can't
imagine how the group will feel about actually reading through the
previous meeting's minutes. And if it winds up being an eye-rolling
thing that nobody wants, and it's in the bylaws, we're outta luck.

That my 2 cents. Since I'm not around anymore, I don't have a strong
opinion on the topic, but I think it's something that needs to be tried
before being formalized, if nothing else.

(Also note that we can add/remove bylaws a any time, with a proper
notification / waiting period / vote, it doesn't require an AGM)
