Recently, a network drop and power drop was installed at the board room table, hanging from the ceiling. I absolutely love the idea and would like to modify the end to be a quad box as opposed to the three outlet extension cord. Unfortunately, the installation poses a bit of a problem. It violates the fire code as extension cords cannot be part of a permanent installation(s). Same goes for the carefully zip tied extension cord for the 3-D printer team. Signs saying please don't touch may be more appropriate, but I share in the frustration of coming in to find stuff partially disassembled, with a minimal amount of explanation. I'm going to consult with a certified electrician and get a quote on a solution which meets the above requirements. As a side note, monitoring has indicated that the network drop at the table which is attached to the SkullSpace Phone is offline. If someone is at the space it would be good if we insured the phone was operational for safety purposes and phone calls from people looking to join us. Community Outreach Efforts - Great Plans sent to discuss, Too Last Minute, tepid response from membership Current financial situation - any improvement? I've noticed a lot of new member announcements? Membership numbers - any change? we have had some growth, I feel we should start announcing folks that have turned in their membership? Network changes Prod/Professional- IPV6 WAP is now live for experimentation, CDC/SkullSpace private cloud server 1 is in Beta, Sisler/SkullSpace private cloud server 2 (128GB of RAM, 32 Cores, 1TB SSD, 8TB RAID 10 is in conceptual phase over the IPV6 network via VOI and Merlin. Network changes SKSP/Hybrid - IPV4/IPV6, VPN, Progress on Server Task Force cost recouping costs? Have server owners all been identified? Plans to turn off unidentified servers? Life Safety Issues - Fire Extinguishers Mounted? Plans to have fire alarm tested (land lord may pay for this) occupancy permit progress? War on extension cords and power bars must continue... What's new and coming up at the Space (a lot) - The thing on the wall - Project Alex? Who's booked the space recently? Progress on cook book? Wiki? Next Game Days, promotion of work from SKSP day? Hackathon planning, hardware hacking night? Other events and activities planned? Food replenishment, paper towels, supplies plan -? 3-D Printer Strike/Task Force update -?
