I downloaded Itunes8 last night. The 'Genius scan' of my music library took about 10 mins (which on my setup was infinetly faster than Music IP).
Seems to work fine. You get a list of tracks similar to the one you are listening to available from the Itunes store, as well as an automatic playlist.
