I had never observed it. But if that is the case, once the dust settles
(and my friend stop haggling me about it when I was trying to play a new
jazz album I got, him being one of the "only CDs are worthy" crowd) I
will stop associating the failure with the advent of 7.4. So perhaps it
is a coincidence, and a behavior I shall not see again in years.

I should note I performed a Xilinx and factory reset for the SB3s when
I installed the "stable" 7.4 release...

My SB world got shaken badly today, that's all.
