Music Folder is set to F:\MyMusic. It's a local drive on a Windows XP
Pro machine

This has made it clear though. Whilst the scanner is correctly checking
for music files in F:\MyMusic, it's checking for MIP tags in F:\My Music
(note the gap).

A week or two ago I renamed my music directory from "My Music" to
MyMusic and updated the music path in SBS. Renaming the music direrctory
and changing the path in the MIP gui caused each track to be listed
twice in the MIP gui. To stop this I think I used the Library/Refresh
Songs function (although I am not dead certain). I've just looked at the
MusicIP gui now and all looks fine in there, with correct paths reported
to files etc. So I guess MIP needs to tell the SBS MIP plugin about the
new path (or SBS does)?

If I can be of any help let me know.

Think the third party Squeeze plugins and applets are important?
Then 'vote for bug 14194'
(http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=14194) so more can be
made.
