Bentwy who send me this mail is a experienced developer as far as i see. At the moment we discuss in several forums and additional mail. Ralphy do offer not mail here and i thing for good reasons. So i get via mail infos and have to copy them and forward. To forums and so on. So if someone give root access that another can help direct on the remote machine i think its not a good idea to spread this through forums :-) Its somehow a first try to bring a player to mediaplayers and a little testing infrastructure needs to be build. There are several players around. Most they do not use Alsa. They use specialised chips like Realtec or sigma. And we need also to find a way to be GPL compatible. One idea is to compile the firmware with Alsa to have at first step a audio output with a simple usb soundcard and than step by step to go on. Old developers remember for shure how long it does take to make drivers for Wlan linux support because they where not given by the industries. I think at least it will be usefull for devices like SheevaPlug, NAS like synology, qnap and etrayz and also as a example xtreamer. i personaly have no developers skills... sad but its so. I try to help with ideas and hands on in coordination. Find translators or some who like to do documentation. In this way everyone can concentrate to the skills he have. -- arztde ------------------------------------------------------------------------ arztde's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=29528 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=63966 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
